9. How Long We Retain Your Information
We retain your personal information only as long as necessary for legitimate business purposes (as detailed in Section 5) and as allowed by applicable law. If you decide to discontinue using our services, closing your account will halt the matching of your profile with other members.

To ensure the safety and security of our members, we implement a safety retention period of three months after account closure, or one year after an account ban. During this timeframe, we maintain your information in case it is needed to investigate unlawful or harmful activities. The retention during this window aligns with our legitimate interest and that of potential third-party victims.
Post Safety Retention:
After the safety retention period ends, we delete your data and retain limited information for specific purposes, which includes:
a) Retaining data to meet legal data retention obligations. For example, transaction data is kept for 10 years to comply with tax and accounting legal requirements, credit card information for the duration during which the user may dispute the transaction, and “traffic data” or logs for one year to fulfill legal data retention obligations. We also preserve records of consents from members for five years to demonstrate our compliance with applicable law.
b) Maintaining information based on our legitimate interest. This includes customer care records and supporting data, imprecise download/purchase location for five years to support customer care decisions, the existence of past accounts and subscriptions, which we delete three years after the closure of your last account for financial forecasting and reporting, profile data for one year in anticipation of potential litigation, and data necessary to prevent banned members from opening new accounts, for the time required to ensure member safety and vital interests.
c) Lastly, we maintain information based on our legitimate interest when there is an unresolved or potential issue, claim, or dispute necessitating data retention. This may include compliance with legal obligations when presented with valid legal subpoenas or data preservation requests.
